The library is seeking a pool of volunteers to assist with on-site and off-site library events.
This is an on-call volunteer position. Volunteers will be engaging with the public, talking to community members and sharing information about the East Lansing Public Library and its services.
Duties:
- Setting up, staffing, and cleaning up information booths
- Sharing written and verbal information about the library
- Helping with arts and crafts, button-making, and prize drawings
- Applicants MUST be able to provide their own transportation to event sites
Qualifications:
- Great people skills
- Must enjoy talking to adults, children, and teenagers
- Passion for ELPL and its services
- An outgoing personality
